| The concept of cluster formations is presented and their role in the times of global competition and economic crisis is described. A new concept is defined: the results (products) of the cluster operation. One type of cluster operation results is the improvement of research and educational activities - cooperation of enterprises and institutions of higher education. This cooperation may result in base departments established by universities at enterprises and research institutes. |
