This article is devoted to the study of estimates given by the monarchical newspaper «The Kurskaya Byl» to the elections to the IV State Duma of the Russian Empire. The characteristics given to the institute of parliamentarism, the pre-election situation, the course and results of the election campaign in the Kursk province and the Russian Empire as a whole are considered. The place of the Jewish question in the rhetoric of the publication in connection with the elections is shown. The article describes the role of the Orthodox clergy in working with the monarchists in the Kursk province during the elections.
