The article examines the experience of introducing biometric voter registration in foreign countries and in Russia. The analysis shows that foreign countries use a model in which biometric voter registration is carried out directly at the polling station when issuing a ballot. At the same time, in Russia, biometric identification technology is already partially used in REV and in the future may become one of the main ways to verify Russian voters in online elections. As a result, the author comes to the conclusion that the further introduction of the latest biometric technologies in the electoral process will help minimize violations in the field of voter expression, reduce cases of falsification of votes, increase electoral confidence in the elections, therefore, the mutual experience of biometric registration of voters in elections will be useful both for electoral practice in Russia and foreign countries.
