The article analyzes the legal aspects of ensuring information security in Russia and Transnistria in the context of two processes - digitalization of all aspects of public life, including state building, and harmonization of the legal system of the PMR with Russian legislation. The article examines the main mechanisms for protecting personal data, the right to privacy, as well as issues of regulating the sphere of information and communications. Attention is paid to comparing the legislative approaches enshrined in the constitutions of both countries, as well as the general and specific in the management of information security, including the impact of external threats and geopolitical factors.
