The article considers the study of the possibilities and areas of application of artificial intelligence technologies in forensic science as a science of forensic science and artificial intelligence. Criteria for choosing directions for the introduction of artificial intelligence into the system of forensic expertise and forensic activity have been developed. A system of standards is proposed that regulate the order, algorithms and procedures for the introduction and use of artificial intelligence technologies in forensic activities. The possibility of recognizing artificial intelligence as a legal entity based on its type is being considered. Work on artificial intelligence in the field of forensic science should take into account the provisions of the code of ethics of artificial intelligence, which apply to relations related to the ethical aspects of the creation, implementation and use of artificial intelligence technologies at all stages of forensic activity.
