| The letters of A.E. Presnyakov from 1910 to 1928, addressed to his university teacher S.F. Platonov, have been ful
ly introduced into scientific circulation. One of the most sought-after archival materials by researchers allows us to
identify the main topics of their scientific communications, as well as issues related to their teaching, administrative,
and publishing activities. The epistolary materials make it possible to eliminate certain unsubstantiated opinions of re
searchers and to assert categorically that A. E. Presnyakov was one of the numerous students of S. F. Platonov who
formed the basis of the St. Petersburg historical school and belonged to their ?older generation?, while achieving the
scientific mastery of his mentor. |
