| The article examines the influence of military alliances on the level of international and regional security, trends, the
nature of such international relations, as well as the genesis of institutions for ensuring collective security, as a consequence
of the possible evolution of military alliances. The existence of a state is always associated with the fundamental goal of
preserving "itself" and ensuring its own security, which is expressed in the ability to withstand both external and internal
threats. The method of ensuring security appears to be a key element in achieving these goals, since it is associated with the
model of existence and development of the state. Collective methods emerged at the very moment of the formation of the
first regional “centers” of civilization; they represented both unions of collective security and unions of collective self
defense, but these were always unions with obligations directed «outward» – military unions. |
