| In modern epithetology, special attention is paid to issues related to cognitive mechanisms of formation of attribu
tive constructions. This article is devoted to the analysis of the epithet embodiment of one of the central of M. Tsvetae
va's creativity concepts – «loneliness». As a result of the study of the principles of formation of figurative epithet con
structions of the considered semantics using the methods of cognitive-semantic, lexicographic and structural-semantic
analysis, the ways of conceptualization of the attribute in the poet's texts were identified. It is proved that the theory of
conceptual integration allows us to explain the nature of metonymic and metaphorical epithet complexes, to reveal the
logic of their formation in connection with the specifics of M. Tsvetaeva's poetic thinking. The basis of epithetation is
the blending of attributes from two associated mental areas, creating a new attributive image of reality. The attributes of
the concept «loneliness» have an anthropomorphic nature, which is associated with the poet's awareness of his existen
tial nature, opposed to this world. M. Tsvetaeva’s linguistic reflection determines the unlimited set of attributes for
characterizing the object of epithet. |
