| The article is devoted to the study of peculiarities and regularities of translation of political speech from Vietnam
ese into Russian. The author defines the concepts of “linguistic personality” and “linguistic portrait”, analyzes the
speech characteristics of V.V. Putin's speeches, compares the original texts with their translations, identifying difficult
cases of translation.
Based on the analysis (using component, descriptive and comparative methods), the author provides recommenda
tions for translating political texts of various typologies. The author emphasizes the importance of the translator's un
derstanding of the emotional coloring of the lexicon, deep knowledge of the phraseological fund of Vietnamese and
Russian languages and high professional training to make quick decisions in difficult situations. The article also points
out the necessity of applying various translation transformations to achieve translation accuracy and to take into ac
count the peculiarities of the recipient's perception. The conclusion is about the value of analyzing existing translations
for beginning translators as a useful tool for mastering the theory and practice of translation. |
