| The article analyzes the rich scientific heritage of a prominent scientist, Professor N.D. Rusinov, representing the
theory of language, historical linguistics, Slavic studies and occupying a special place in modern linguistics. The aim of
the paper is to summarize the scientific heritage of the scientist, to assess his contribution to modern linguistics. The
most important features of the scientific method of N.D. Rusinov are revealed: historicism, an innovative approach to
understanding the dynamics of language, priority in historical-linguistic and Slavic studies of linguistic facts. It is
concluded that N.D. Rusinov created a unified linguistic concept, in the center of which is the concept of an organic
connection between language and people, the history of the Russian language with the history of the Russian people
and their culture. The article considers the main scientific ideas of the scientist, which remain relevant in modern
linguistics and are in demand in solving a number of scientific problems: the objectivity of the existence of the
language system of the pre-written period of the Old Russian language, language as a cybernetic system functioning in
the evolution of language; a new interpretation of the traditional concept of „Slavic studies?, a comprehensive approach
to the problem of the typology of modern Slavic languages. The significance of the scientific heritage of N.D. Rusinov
for modern linguistics of the 21st century is revealed. |
