| The article is devoted to returning to the problem of authorship, time of creation and sources of such a large hoax text as the “Book of Veles”. The methodology of studying forgeries as valuable sources according to historical ideas and the cultural context of their creation, dating back to Marс Bloсk, is applied. The unfinished discussion of historians about the authorship of the “Book of Veles” is considered. A conclusion is made about the use by Yury Mirolyubov in creating the main text of this hoax of the handwritten hoaxes of Alexander Sulakadzev that reached him. It transfers the discussion to the format of a comparison of Russian literary romanticism of the early nineteenth century and neo-romanticism in the literature of the Russian Diaspora in the mid-twentieth century. |
