| The article introduces the hoard of kufic coins of the mid-870s., found in the environs of the former village Vyshetravinskie (Shatravinskie, Shatravskie) Vyselki in Ryazan region. All its coins are listed. Their dynastic, geographic and chronological distributions are put to analyses. Characteristic features of the hoard common to a number of the complexes of the Oka river basin with a similar way of formation are shown as well as its peculiarities. It is the earliest hoard for the region with Saffarid dirhams. The latters mark the upcoming reduction of the influx of the islamic coins to the Oka river basin along the Don trade route in the last quarter of the ixth century. The author comes to the conclusion about the importance of the hoard as a valuable source for studying kufic coin silver circulation in Eastern Europe and the Oka river basin, trade links with muslim Orient through the mediation of the Khazarian Qaganate. |
