| Received by the editorial office Ensuring the security of protected facilities is one of the integral components of the security system of the top officials of the state. The author, based on unpublished documents from the collections of the Russian State Historical Archive, undertakes an attempt at a comprehensive analysis of the security system of palaces and adjacent territories created during the reign of Alexander III, identifies achievements and miscalculations in the actions of those responsible for ensuring the safety of the tsar during his stay in the residences. It is concluded that under Alexander III, a fairly effective system of palace security was created, which was of an integrated nature. A significant contribution was made to the organization of access control. The author draws attention to the fact that quite effective attempts were made to organize constructive interaction between individual units of the imperial guard, the police and military units that helped them. The work is based on a historical and systematic approach, which makes it possible to reconstruct the residence security system and show its place in the security system of Alexander III and his family members. |
