Abstract
The article gives theoretical and methodological substantiation of the importance of internal speech in the process of foreign languages learning. Internal speech is considered as one of the key mechanisms in the process of foreign languages learning. Its main functions and structural features are highlighted. Special attention is paid to the methodological aspect of the formation of internal speech through the analytical and synthetic processing of original foreign language texts of various discursive orientations. The key research method is the comparative method, which allowed not only to summarize and systematize existing works on psycholinguistics, psychology, cognitive science and other disciplines, but also to draw an analogy of the use of similar teaching methods in the field of artificial intelligence. The study clarifies the structural and functional model of internal speech by highlighting the key mechanisms of its formation and connection with the processes of foreign language learning. The results of the study can be applied to optimize the process of foreign languages learning through the use of cognitive mechanisms of internal speech in order to increase the fluency of speech creation, develop semantic forecasting skills and automate the construction of language structures.
