Abstract
An approximate method of designing three-element airfoils by the given velocity distribution on its surface of an arc abscissa is developed. The main point of the method is reducing the triple-connection area of a flow to the single-connection one, located on a multi-sheet Riemann surface, by inserting between the airfoil elements channels of flow suction and blowing out the flow, asymptotically tending to circular channels. An example of designing an airfoil is given.
