The authors propose an algorithm for developing strategic decisions aimed at sustainable development of industrial enterprises. Its application is considered on the example of the company OAO “AvtoVAZ”. The algorithm makes possible the development of strategic decisions that are in line with the characteristics of the external and internal environment. It is also possible to diagnose the company's current and potential position by using a three-tier system of interconnected matrices, to refine strategic decisions to the level of key economic indicators, to balance these indicators by finding compromise solutions and to determine the most important decisions in terms of strategic priorities, based on the assessment of the increase in the company's value. The proposed algorithm and tools can be used by industrial companies and by the government bodies in the processes of strategic planning, in the development of mechanisms for achieving sustainable development, in the integrated assessment of external environment factors, in the analysis of economic activities, as well as in the preparation of annual plans and reports.
