The analysis of interrelation between stability of innovative development and economic condition of Russian industrial enterprises of the metallurgical complex acquires special importance due to the need to improve innovation activity of these enterprises. The aim of this study is to identify and analyze the relationship between the stability of innovative development and economic condition of Russian metallurgical enterprises. Based on the use of expert-point evaluation methods, the hierarchy analysis method, and correlation analysis methods, we have developed an algorithm for analyzing the dependence of stability of innovative development of the metallurgical complex enterprises on their current economic condition. As a result of this study, general integrated indicators of sustainable innovative development and economic condition of the enterprises were identified, and the closeness of the relation between these two factors was determined quantitatively. Based on the results, we can conclude that there is a direct correlation between the stability of innovative development and the current economic situation of some of the enterprises covered by our study. We have also analyzed the causes of passivity in terms of innovation at some metallurgical enterprises.
